Looks like a mini Daytona hood?

anyone seen anything like that before?

Used to see hoods like that on the old Maco Shark Vettes in the 70's.
I don't like it for a 3rd gen...

Just looks like the Daytona hood with the 82-84 Z/28 inserts instead of the louvers.

yep most definitely looks like the turbo hood for camaros

 

look at the Louvers though.

and the front of it, it stops short, the turbo hoods go from a slant, this ones bulky in the front

yeah, the hood in the hood threads is different.. Still, it has the 82-84 Louvers, but the front like, i said previously is different

its not slanted. lol

And I've only seen 3, that one, some other one on the interwebs, and the one I just bought :P, in stock form, I agree it looks a little wierd, but somebody modified the one I found, it has recessed triangles near the front corners, I'll try to upload a pic later, but I think without them its got too much going on in one spot...just my
And also I am curious who manufactured them....because they do seem quite rare, and yeah it is more or less a turbo bulge/daytona hood, but with early z28 style inlay instead of the louvers.

To each his own, just not for me. I prefer the stock blisters or a SS style hood, makes for a much cleaner look.
