Body kit ? Or orginal
Ok guys I have an 88 fire bird with a 427 big block that I'm procharging and have to run the intercooler for the 25 psi I'm gonna run I've always have cooling problems at stop lights if u get on eBay they have a biddy kit with a open front end but it looks kinda like a damn Honda but besides the looks it would help with from for the intercooler and air flow throught the front of the car so should I try to make the front end I have now work or but the kit that'll probably help

do you have the air dam. I know I had that same problem, but they went away when in stalled the lower air dam. also what kind of water pump do you have.
Re: Body kit ? Or orginal
I have the air dam on it it's in great shape I have a 4 core alum be cool raditor and a a mors 40 percent cooler flowing water pump with a 4 blade steel fan it does great driving but the intercooler is the size of the raditor so it'll reduce the air flow plus the heat from the procharger that's why I was thinking about the after market open front end vs the one now

you could always put a fan on the outside of the of the intercooler. do the pusher puller set up. BTW do you have a Firebird or a Camaro?

If you have a firebird, take out the little (should be) black "bumperettes" and create a grill area up front. You may need to remove some of the bumper reinforcement to get the air all the way back, but it would leave it half way stock and not look r!cer doing it, no offence. I don't mind the body kit that is online, but i'm just not crazy about it because it does look like something that should be on a honda. Anways, that, and possibly two fans, one on the inside pulling, and one on the front pushing so that it pulls air from below, pushes it through the intercooler and rad, and the fan behind in the stock location would help pull to make sure at all times the setup stays cool.
I did read somewhere that a newer ecu, you can control the speeds as well as temperatures that the fans would come on. Being big block, i'm going to assume carbed, but maybe you can get a fan controler to get the second fan to kick on at say 230, so that the second you come to a stop light and the temps start kicking up, it would kick the front fan i spoke about earlier on and it would start pushing/pulling air through the intercooler/rad to keep you cool sitting still. Just an idea.

I'm not big on the ***** look myself I love the look of the formula and firebird that's why I bought it and I'll try taking one the inforcements after the procharger is on is should push over 1200 horse so I wanna keep it looking like a sleeper and eat some vettes
