Check this Out!
First i was wondering how to open the rear hatch on my 1991 camaro rs. There is no button on the center console i know this seems silly but its really been bugging me. I dont have the clock or any of the buttons on the center console, just a blank panel. I'm just looking for where the button is located as silly as it seems. Thanks.
Next i was searching good for how to open the rear hatch and look what i found.
Isn't it just aweful, its like watching a box of kittens get ran over, its so sad.

*Note the punisher sticker.
Enjoy!

Yes, but someone butchered a maro to make a wagon, its totally different.
If Camaros also came in wagons i can see where you'd be coming from but this is just horrific. Its like making a corvette into a ford taurus, its just wrong.

First off, have you tried the hatch lock? I know it seems obvious, but...
If you either don't have a key or there is something wrong with the lock, you can pop the light out of the tail panel from inside the car and use a long screwdriver to open the hatch.

Re: Check this Out!
Anymore pics of that? It looks like maybe a Vega wagon roof grafted on. If that's the case then does it have a hatch or maybe a gate welded on?
Maybe lower it and put some Vette wheels or big IROCs wouldn't look too bad. Depends on how the back opens though.
I'm guessing the side "windows" are just painted black sheet metal.

That abomination was on the minnesota craigslist at least a few times. It's been posted before.
Your license plate is mounted on a spring loaded bracket. Flip it down and there's a key lock behind it.

reminded me of this. looks like he might have gotten his inspiration from it and then decided he didnt need a convenient big opening.

Re: Check this Out!
So i got my hatch to open, but i cant get it to close nowThe PO took out the lock and took out about 80% of the screws in the interior of the hatch so i'm guessing he didn't mention i problem with it closing. Do i need a new hatch motor? or is there i way i can just temporarily jerry-rig it so i can save up the money for a hatch motor? Thanks.

Re: Check this Out!
I had some extra slide rails for the hatch so I welded them together at the correct angle so mine shuts easily. It was supposed to be a temporary fix but it works so well I'm keeping it this way.
Just some tack welds here and there.
