headlight door adjustment...
Hey I have an 87 trans am GTA and my drivers side headlight door is not aligned with my fender and hood properly. This would be my first time adjusting a trans am headlight door so some pictures or detailed explanations would be great. My car was in some kind of collision at some point and the drivers side fender was messed up which I replaced a couple of weeks ago so I dont know if the headlight bucket frame was bent when it was hit but I thought I would mention it just because. The headlight is dipped in the front for lack of better words it almost seems like the motor is bringing it down about a half an inch too much causing it to just dip in the front. I will upload a pic a little bit later but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: headlight door adjustment...
It appears to be down at the front correct ? Is the black plastic housing attached ?
I was just asking it is hard to see in the pic. There is two of the good ol 10mm bolts from the bottom and two on the headlight frame that attach it to the core support in addition to three on the top that you can see with the hood up. There is also some stops with rubber pads in the head light frame.
I have had good luck adjusting some or all of these to achieve the fit I wanted.
Keep in mind the motors will pull down until they resist enough to shut off.
I usually have to take the whole headlight frame off and then it is pretty easy to see if some thing is missing or messed up with it . HTH
