Do they bolt right up? No/little modification needed?

Never done one myself, but I know that the shocks, PHB & LCAs are a 100% direct fits & do hear that even the brake lines are the same threads.

Only issues I know of, is if you get a LS1 rear axle with the 4-channel anti-lock brakes & the parking brake cable. LZT1 rear fit better/easier, but are the same sized brakes as the 89-92 PBR braked 3rd gen axles.

4th gen driveshafts are a direct fit.

You haven't asked anything that you couldn't have found for yourself, had to put just a LITTLE effort into searching.

Sorry to sound like a ****, but self-educating is VERY rewarding for yourself, when you can find stuff for yourself & not hafta ask.

Sorry.

But now I know I'm going to be looking for a 4th gen rear end/driveshaft at the local scrapyards.

a lot of times i like to ask people on this website stuff without asking mainly because they know more about what they are talking about that most others. plus some people like to answer the questions, and make it easier to learn than some writeups.

But pics have already been posted over & over & over....Why should we keep reposting them, when they are already very readily available to be found?

If you're considering a fouthgen rear, check the following 10-Bolt FAQ, which may provoke some thought about all you'll require for a successful swap (pics can be found in one of the links):
