I recently purchased an 86 base model for my project car. A friend of mine gave me the factory z28 front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper. He has a clean aftermarket. I was able to install front and rear bumpers without too much headache aside form drilling a few holes in my other wise perfect body! *frown* My problem lies in the side skirts though. I have been to the junkyard only to find that you can't just take the side skirt mounts off. Very depressing! I am looking for a semi reasonable route to install these gfx. My car looks kind of funny right now skirtless. Any help would save me a lot of crying alone in the corner!

 

brackets come off its just time consuming. YOur gonna need a drill and some patience haha. You gotta drill out all the little welds that attaches it to the rockers

 

Well, that sucks! Thank you though. Can I see the welds from the bottom of the car? I looked and don't remember seeing them. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. I have been known to get in a hurry....lol

 

Some of them were pretty hard I ended up using some glass cleaner to find them all. If I remember correctly there are 12 welds per side but I could be wrong it has been a while since I pulled them
