Re: i want to put my bird back on my hood

you can get them from phoenix graphics.
what i would do is center it on top of the scoop and cut its wings flush with the sides of the scoop and put them on the hood strait below the center part.
i hope that made sense.
there's probably other ways to do it that's just how i would. its your car do what you want with it

another option you could do is have a custom bird made to stretch over the scoop.

Re: i want to put my bird back on my hood

oh ... and be careful with some of the hoods on ebay. most of them are made really cheap and dont fit well. kinda thin on the fiberglass and warped , the tend to wana crack on you after having them an for a short time... i had to modify one a few months back so it would not crack at the hinges it also wanted to twist when opening it. its alot of $$$ to spend on a p.o.s. so just make sure you read all the feedback on them first

Paint the bird on...i air brushed mine! you can search it to get the ideal- although mine is not in attempts to be the stock bird- more of a custom twist- but still

well, Firefox crashed and i lost everything i just typed

any way, lets try again.

if you just stretch the entire image, the bird will distort, and will still look skinny when its wrapped over the cowl. What you may want to consider is just stretching the parts of the image that are on the cowl area so the image is still the stock width when installed, and the image looks right from straight on and on an angle.

here is a pic, left is stock, right has a small piece stretched in the middle of each wing.

hmm widened bird looks better too....

you should have to just measure the width of the top of the cowl, then the width and height of the raised side of the cowl. the measurement of the width and height of the side of the cowl is the piece that needs to be streached. Take the width of that piece from the original image and stretch it as wide and the cowl size is long. Then continue the image. That way the image is the same width after its installed, and still looks right.

I would have to see a good photochop to verify, but in my head it wiork
