someone save this formula!!

I was browsing around copart and I found this 1991 formula that was involved in a rear-end wreck. Bidding is at $0 right now and get this... the car appears to only have 46,500 miles! I thought I'd post it up since I'd hate to see a car like this go to the crusher, and we all know the 91-92 Formulas are getting tougher and tougher to find.

Re: someone save this formula!!

The damage doesn't look too bad. I've actually got extra quarter panels and the steel for the back area if someone wanted to weld in some new sheet metal there and save it. If I had the space I'd buy that car.

talk to a local auto body shop or something. my dad is friends with an auto body shop owner so if we wanted to we'd probably be able to get that formula. Unfortunately I'm 18 and there's no way I could have 3 cars lol.

haha yeah I have a 1991 Trans Am convertible and a 1994 GMC Jimmy as my "beater." And I'm from CT so this car is too damn far for me too lol. But with the relatively minor damage and low mileage I'm sure that this car would be able to make the trip driving on its own! probably a fly in and drive out deal.

Sweet! So are you getting it? And no nothing wrong with 3 cars, its just the cash, space, and parental approval that's required hahaha. But I'd love to own a 91-92 formula.

And considering it's a salvage auction I'm sure it'll be dirt cheap unless we'll have a bunch of thirdgen people fighting over it lol.

Re: someone save this formula!!

i wish i could get it, but cant find someone with the right license to bid. tx laws are freakin weird concerning salvage titles.

Hey if I had any chance of getting this car I definitely would try that. It would be a shame to see such a low mileage Formula get parted out or even sent to the crusher.

Re: someone save this formula!!

Hmmm I was wondering... do you guys think this car was repainted? Since everything under the hood, including the insides of the fenders, is black.

I didnt even notice that, but now that you mention it....
Either the engine bay was painted black, or the car was repainted red (more likely).

Re: someone save this formula!!

I would find a salvage title car lot, I used to work at one up here in minnesota and we would buy cars off of auction for people for a fee usually only a couple hundred tops.

Re: someone save this formula!!

Well good news!!! I found someone local to work with me on this. As long as the price is still doable at towards the end of the auction, Ill be all over this.

Ugh, more bad news. They changed the end of the auction from the end of May, to next week. And of course I dont have the cash at the moment for it .
