Factory steps for installing new T-tops.

Does anyone have the factory process of installing replacement t-tops. I've switched to glass ones on my '92 RS. I've tranfered the weatherstriping from the Lexan ones to the glass ones but am getting slight water leakage. I think I may have adjusted the snug down too little or in the wrong order.

It means that the user t-top havoc doesn't know the answer to your question. By replying to your thread, he is now "subscribed", which basically means he'll get notified when someone else replies to your thread and he'll check in with the hopes of getting the same answer you're looking for. There is an option to simply subscribe to a thread without replying to it under the "thread tools" menu, but most people don't know about it or don't care to use it and reply to the thread instead just to be subscribed.

Re: Factory steps for installing new T-tops.

As far as i know, the weather stripping only should go in really one way, and the rest of the adjustment is in the pin holders on either side. If the leak is towards the back, adjust the adjuster down in the back and vice versa for the front if thats what leaks. Shouldn't be all that difficult as long as the weather stripping wasn't damaged in the process. Try and see if there is any obvious gaps, then maybe the weather stripping should be moved, but if not, it's probably in the adjusters as long as you used enough weatherstripping adhesive to install onto the glass tops.
