1991 Firebird w/ ground FX to Formula?

How difficult is it to get rid of the ground FX? I realize the holes would have to be welded shut, but what about the bar that goes across to hold the screws for the main piece that goes down the sides? I already have the front formula bumper on the car, and a rear formula bumper on the floor of my basement.. When I re-do the car in a few years, is it tough to make the switch?

The brackets on the rockers are spot welded on, so there will be some finish work needed. Nothing real bad really.
