Which is correct??????

Our '87 Camaro has 2 different tail lights, so we've been looking to get a matching set.

The drivers side has NO stripe or grid, a tail light with no appeal.

The pass side has the single black bar thru the center.

I've seen a couple pics of 3rd gen Camaros with the same thing!!

Is that just coincidence??

**Which is correct??**

My Bride doesn't care for the grid, but realy likes the single mid stripe.

No, I WONT paint it or duct tape it!!!

Re: Which is correct??????

The single stripe would be correct for your 87. The grid is off a later year model.

Re: Which is correct??????

does the style depend on year or trim level? or both? i have a 86 iroc with grid, yet my friend who had a 88 rs had the single line across the center. then i thought the sport coupes and such had different ones as well.

Both.

90+ the grid was standard. Prior to that, only the IROC & Z got the grid.

I dunno exactly when the year that the grid started etc. I just know that the grid started as an upper-level trim item, then became standard.

Re: Which is correct??????

85 was the first year for the grid and it was an IROC only option I believe. 89 or 90 i think it became standard equipment. The light with no grid or stripe is off a berli.
