underside paint
I'm at a point where I have to touch-up or refinish in it's entirerty the underside of my 86 Sport Coupe.
I like the idea of the factory paint however I also like the preserving quality of a good rust paint.
Let's see pictures of some detailed chassis.

Re: underside paint
Why not use some kind of under coating? Dont they use salt on the roads up there? Or I have heard of some useing spray on truck bed liner and have seen on the internet that you can also have it in almost any color.

Re: underside paint
It DOES look clean.
I assume you had removed all the little bits and pieces prior to paint?
The only drawback that I can imagine with the bedliner is that it's thickness would prevent full seating of bolt on components like the trans crossmember and lower control arms.
Or was that not an issue?

Re: underside paint
Yes, completely stripped, all the underbody goop removed w/ kerosine, then a light scotchbrite w/ degreaser/paint prep and then sprayed on the bedliner.
The thickness is no issue, I had everything off, and everything goes back together just fine.
