Is this hood worth saving?

I'm going to try and show the pictures.

it looks better in the pictures than in person.
I have to get my car on the road again first, but I'm trying to asses what I have to do to get everything nice again. And start collecting parts. The next question is, is it worth having the hood insulation?

Re: Is this hood worth saving?

I wouldn't. Too many nice aftermarket hoods available. And if you want to stay stock there are plenty of OEM's to be had for not to bad of a price. Rust spreads and next thing you know it would be all over your enginie bay.

Hoods are cheap and all over the place. I'd just get a new one.

Re: Is this hood worth saving?

yeah most parts for our cars are cost a dime-a-dozen so I'd keep looking. I got a used hood and 2 brand new fenders (aftermarket though) for my 91 Trans Am for 200 bucks all together.

And I was wondering about the hood insulation as well, why is it there?

Yep, yards here range from $45 to $55 to $75 and in pretty good condition.
