Trying to install my hood

Trying to install my hood

I am installing my new cervinis cowl inducted hood, it fits perfect, but my question is how to I take the coil spring off my stock hood and put it on my new one??

Isn't it just a 7/16" bolt or something? Mines janked up, I have multiple washers as spacers. There should be holes drilled in the hood, unless they expected you to latch it down with hood pins.

i got my cowl hood a couple weeks ago. i removed the spring from the old hood by just forcibly removing the sucker. i sorta just twisted the thing off. my camaro is currently in the shop being painted, but the guys are having trouble making the cowl hood to properly lock on. apparantly the hook doesnt reach down far enough to lock. they're working on it and trying to find a solution. i say this just as a heads up.

I used 2 washers and it seems to make it lock down

spacers/multiple washers.
