Does anybody know if Trans Am fenders will fit on a base model firebird of the same year? I ask because I found a couple (http://market.autopartsfair.com/pont...t_type=fenders) that seem to be a decent price, but they are labeled as Trans Am parts.

Also, while I make this post... I was wondering if the same could be said for the hood. I want a hood with some sort of scoop or vents on them (More for looks than function.) Will a hood from a similar year work? Is there a year range that I can look for instead of sticking to the same exact year?

85- 89 all interchange no worries. 82 - 84 different nose, 90 - 92 different again.

 

85-90 are the same, 91-92 are different

most parts will interchange, but the ground effects and bumpers changed over the years, hence the different in fenders, same with the interiors. any hood from 82-92 bird will fit.

 

All 82-92 firebird fenders fit all 82-92 firebirds. Only differences would be whether or not there is a hole for the fender vent, or where the holes are drilled for the ground effects. All 82-92 firebird hoods also fit all 82-92 firebirds.

there are some differences in the headlights also might follow the same year pattern 82-84 85-90 91-92

 

This is the correct answer. ALL of them interchange. There are NO differences except for fender vents or GFX holes.
