Currently I'm working on my engine bay and before I can get it into paint I have to weld in a new battery tray.

My question is for those of you who have done it, how did you weld it in? From the factory they used spot welds. I'm unsure if I should just lay a continuous bead around the tray, plug weld it, or tack it every couple of inches.
