really "HOT" or cold

didn't know where else to post this. I'm looking to convert my 84T/A from a/c, to just heat, (no a/c).want to remove the evaporater core and excess crap for clearance reasons mostly.don't need ac here in the northeast but a few weeks in the summer.I was told all these third gens came standard with ac. Can anyone confirm this? Has anyone ever seen one with a small heater box on the firewall, like some of the 2nd gens had?

Re: really "HOT" or cold

ac delete was avalable, and was put on many cars. There is a ac delete, heater only air box and blower assembly for the 3rd gen. They usually pop up in the classified and on ebay for anywhere from 50 to 150 bux depending on condition and other things.

the under dash duct work and heater control is even different for the non ac cars. You can still use the controls you have now, they will still work just fine.

I have the ac delete on my 86, i added it for a cleaner look and didnt really need ac.
