How bad/big is the area you need to fix? Several of us have just cut out what we needed to & welded in flat plates hammered to fit.

Re: Wheel Well Tubs

Do the paper cardboard trick, cut bigger then the area, with many slits where it willl curve, shove it in there till it fits the shape nice, mark any over lap and cut it out. Check n recheck before ya cut it out of some hardware sheet metal.

Beat in place, weld, rivit, glue, cover everything in fiberglass when done then rubberized underspray coating.

I can tell you, if you got that there, you got more you can't see, gut the inside of the car 100% [front and back carpet.] before you do to much. Then go from there.

Re: Wheel Well Tubs

Id worry more about the chassis then the paint, the paint isn't gonna hold it together in the middle.

Re: Wheel Well Tubs

All I can say is trust me, what may look nice from the bottom isn't always the same on top.

Been through it. Only could see rust like you got, till I looked closer.
Have yet to find anyone who had the same and didn't find more.

I need to edit my post from 04 as they must of turn off html but you can see
what I mean.
