Restoring my '92 Firebird!

Well, I have a rusty 1992 t top Firebird, I-CAR certifications, lots of tools, but not a lot of experience... so I thought I'd ask a bunch knowledgeable 3rd Gen owners for some tips on bringing my rotting Pontiac back to life (and looking good), and how to keep her from rusting! I will post some pics once I can upload them to my computer. So, has anybody else restored a car with holey floor pans, rear wheel wells, and rust on the firewall? Don't worry, at least the rockers are pretty much in tact

I realize that, that is why I offered my professional opinion. I have been in the restoration business for 10 years. There isn't much I haven't seen.

Re: Restoring my '92 Firebird!

I am also at the very beginning of what will be a long restoration/LSX conversion of a '91 v6 Firebird. I will also be watching this thread for tips. Thanks!

Re: Restoring my '92 Firebird!

So, after we started restoring the floor pans (pictures below) in this thing, I came across a 1982 Z28 with crossfire injection, 82k original miles, all power options plus cruise control, posi, and the best part is.. FLOOR PANs haha, so I decided to call it quits on the Firebird, and take that one for $1500 instead

so yea, i'm parting it out if anybody needs Firebird parts

Re: Restoring my '92 Firebird!

Subscribed, my Camaro has lots of rust under the car as well. Need somee ideas of restoring. if it will be too expensive I may have to sell it and find a car without so much rust.
