I have a 86 that came with the rubber ones ,i was wondering if i can go to the new hard plastic ones with my factory channels since i am going with new GM seals . Thanks

you can get the passanger side new from GM for like 50 bucks, i dont know where to get the driver side one new

I've got an 84 with the original rubber seals. I swapped them for the hard plastic ones and they went in with no issues but...I prefer the look of the original rubber ones.

the plastic and rubber ones are completely interchangeable; i did the test fits for our supplier when they were working on their molds. I had rubber ones on my 87 from the factory but opted for the plastic because I felt the material was better (don't need another piece of rubber to get tweaked or torn by accident).

Thanks, i just order some of the plastic one from 1a auto, i like the look of the rubber one but the plastic i think will hold up better.
