firebird and camaro floor pans interchange?
Question in the title, yes or no? Trying to find a used floorpan and if I can use a bird one it might open up some more options for me.
(on a budget, and my seat bracket is not salvageable, and for some reason the new repo pans don't include the seat bracket thats welded to the factory pans...)

because the repo pans are just that, pans. the crossover braces that house the seats studs are different parts.
AFAIK, all 3rd gen pans are the same

Maybe so, but its not like anyone reproduces them, or at least no one that I know of...and just speaking logically, if someone needs a new floorpan, then there is a quite good chance their seat bracket rusted out too. Mine is so bad there is literally nothing to bolt the front left to, and the front right is on wafer thin rust.

nobody thinks about the crossover braces, seatbelt mounts and the subframes.... nto to mention all the other braces, anchor points and other brackets that dont come with the floor pans.
But like i said before, im pretty sure the floor pans are the same in all 3rd gens. 4th gen ones are similar from the driver seats back, but not the same

Thank you for the information. The hunt is on. It is a 1989 Formula with one soft spot on driver side feet area. If they make a patch panel may go that way as the rest of the floor is solid.

New reproduction floor pans are available. Same for Camaro or Firebird. If you don't need an entire floor pan, you can section what you need from the new one.
