i have an 84 and have no idea where to find the paint code on it. just purchased a fender and hood for it. the fender is black and the hood is red, wont look great on my camaro.

i have my camaro parked about half an hour away so if someone can save me the trouble id appreciate it

 

If you have the original console glove box cover then it will be on the back of that on a 3" x 5" sticker that will read "Service Parts Identification". On the bottom of that sticker you will see a series of letters and numbers that will read something like: BC/CC WA- L8751 U8751, (L=Lower color / U=Upper color) and that will be the color codes for your car. Here are the paint codes for your 84 camaro:

I too was wondering about paint codes, I wanted to paint my 1989 IROC grey wheels gold. Is there a website somewhere that I can look up paint codes?

If there was then a sticky would be handy if it listed all codes, instead of people asking for specifics.

 

I just use http://http://paintref.com/paintref/index.shtml

You can look up almost any make and model from 1922 to current. It will give you all of the proper info for what your looking for.
