Thirdgen Opinion... Should I remove my Ground effects?
I have a 1991 Firebird with ground FX, I have a Formula front bumper, well because the car was in an accident, and to buy replacement ground effects for the front fenders AT that time was a price that put me waaaaay over budget.
So, I put the formy front bumper, and left the ground effects at the back.
Well last winter, I brought in a parts car (1991 Formula 305 TPI 5 speed, real hot car)
I was blessed with a near perfect rear formy bumper.
So, should I bring it to formula glory?
I always liked the 91/92 formulas the best, I already have the hood, and fully restored WS6 salad shooters.. but I'm worried about what I'm going to discover under the plastic..
What do you think?

It looks like something is missing w/o gfx on the front. It wouldn't look bad if you removed the gfx. It would look like a Formula.

wouldn't it have holes all down the side? for what those would cost to fix, you could just get the correct nose for the car

I have a buddy up the street, his old man is a really good welder, the filling, priming, painting isn't really a problem..
Did this last year.

ok, as long as you know what you're in for
nothing wrong with the formula look. I still think you're better off looking for the correct nose. tried asking around here on TGO?

Re: Thirdgen Opinion... Should I remove my Ground effects?
I just asked the question about what was behind those gfx because I dont like the looks of them - I think the Formula looks much cleaner than the T/A. However - you seem to have a good compromise there with the flush frt bumper. If money was no concern I'd make it a Formula but you will have to do paint & body work if you remove. Either way you still have a nice looking ride - I'd be proud to own it.
