Upper door pins

Hi i saw on ANDYZ28 site, that the kit greasable for sagging doors also works on 4th gen, so on ebay there are one kit for 4th gens, 4 pins for only 74.95, the question is do you guys think the kit works on my 3rd gen?

Re: Upper door pins

You know I have the same question. My passenger side door is low on the back end and everything I've read here says there is no adjustment, the pins have to be replaced. Well, I've looked at several sites that offer door hinge replacement kits in form or another and I can't figure what I need either. I've never replaced a door hinge before so what wears out exactly or how do you determine what is needing replacing?

Re: Upper door pins

That will work for only the upper hinges of two 3rdgen doors you still need the lower pins and bushings...

If your going to go thru all the work you might as well install new lower detent pin and rollers too

There is no adjustment for saggy doors... once you replaced the worn parts and the doors ant lining up or shutting right then there are ways to adjust the doors but sagging doors are usually a sign that something in the hinges need to be replaced...

for an example for each door you'll need:

And you might as well buy new door strikers....

and a door spring Tool makes life easy

If you do it my way it will cost you about $20 total... and they are easily repairable if they start to sag later!

Re: Upper door pins

Everything I have read says that is the same as third Gen. I just got the ones in today for my door - I did not see that one until now or I would have bought it
