What to do when a moron ...........

Jacks up the car in the wrong spot and bows out the fender. The POS PO i bought my car from jacked up the car where the rear of the front fender bolts up to the body. any one have any ideas on how to straighten this? i would assume it has been dealt with before. this guy just didn't care.

You can "un-fold" that seam where most unknowns jack from, loosen the bolts and have someone gently push in on the fender crease just behind the front wheel till the fender lines up with the door then tighten the bolts, don't get too carried away pushing, you might dent the crease in the fender. You might need to pull the seam down some and that might pull the fender into alignment also.

The guy i bought mine from did the same thing to both sides! Since I'm redoing the whole body on mine its not that big of a deal but I had to use a crowbar because the bolts were literally folded into each other. But what Realmac4 said is what you should do, straighten out the bottom of the fender behind the wheel wells if you can ( Curve it back into form )

Mine too. Crushed flat against the underside. Caused the front of the ground effects to curve in a bit too...will be dealt with before paint I guess.

Thats how mine is too along with the crumpled paper look. I pretty much got mine pulled straight down and then when I realized it wasnt fixing the fender I decided to take a closer look. Turns out both fenders on each side of my car have essentially been folded up (I can take pictures if you guys wanna see). So I am thinking when it comes time to paint I will get some new ones to throw on there, but until then I am not going to worry about it.

I used a wide pair of panel vice grips and mine pulled back in fine.

Re: What to do when a moron ...........

Is that pinch weld where the fenders/gfxs bolt up supposed to be vertical the length of the car? Does anyone have photos of a pristine stock original?

Re: What to do when a moron ...........

I just got a hammer and a long blunt object and hammered it back into shape. It was a slight bend on mine though.
