D A Problem

I'm having problems with my 80 grit psa discs flying off of my 6" DA sander. Anyone have this problem? Thanks

Re: D A Problem

are they the self adheasive kind or do you have a spray can? the self adheasive kinds don't have very much "stick" to them.....the surface of your DA needs to be pretty clean and dry before you stick them on there...give it another try!

They are the self adheasive kind. I'll try to clean the sander and try again. Those things really fly when they come off. lol

Re: D A Problem

another trick i use sometimes is to try and start sanding on a flat surface with a brand new disc...it really helps it to get "stuck".....when removing them, they always come off better when they are hot....as in you just finished doing a panel....when they cool off they are quite stuck!

Re: D A Problem

It was a brand new pad. I cleaned it with some Mineral Spirits. Works great now. Thanks.
