What to do.

Hey guys, im sorry if this isn't in the right place..
im new to the site and had a few questions to ask you guys.
I have a 1992 RS camaro 25th Aniv. with a 305 & T-tops and its Dark green/grey metallic paint with grey interior.. It needs a paint job and i was wondering if i should keep the same color of change it to a 1991 iroc ultra blue metallic with silver heritage stripes. ive researched my camaro and found out that of the 70,000 1992 RS camaros only about 2,600 had my dark green/grey metallic paint and i have never seen 1 in person with my color. thanks for reading and i hope to get some opinions for other third gen camaro fans!

Re: What to do.

Being that the color is not seen very often and looks fantastic when polished and shiny, I'd repaint the car the original color. Also, if you recolor, you will need to completely tear down the car and spray the door jambs, engine compartment, rear hatch, etc.

Yup, what he said. I would for sure leave it. I can only remember ever seeing 1 green camaro. I liked the look of it because it's rare. Post some pictures of it for us.

DEFINITELY don't change the color. It's ridiculously rare, plus color changes always hurt any potential future value.

I am also in favor of keeping it original. Looks good with the gold wheels.

Re: What to do.

Thanks for the comments guys! The whole car will get taken apart to paint even if i keep it the same color. What do you guys think about the grey/green metallic with some nice silver heritage stripes. i think the stripes would make it pop. As for the wheels i dont have the gold iroc's on it anymore. Just have stock 87 z-28 wheels from my old camaro. i thought about chrome iroc rims ."The Green Machine" is at the body shop now getting the floor pans patched!
Im wanting to really fix it up nice but i dont know what to do because shes got 235,000 very hard miles on her (Prev Owner). I saved her from the Big Car Show in The Sky. So im thinking of repainting, i gutted the interior and im in the process if putting it back in, and making it into a fun cruzer for me and my boys. But i dont want to sink more money into it than its worth. i will have about $5,000 in it (including purchase) all said and done. that dosent seem to bad dose it?

Re: What to do.

Check your color codes. My car is just like yours, with the Z03 heritage package. You should have gold stripes, I do believe. Just like your wheels.

I just repainted mine the original color (still in process, actually).

Pre-repaint, factory finish, wheels, and stripes-

OK cool. Your wheels threw me. My understanding was that the Polo Green heritage was the only car to get the gold accent wheels from the factory. I could be wrong, or your wheels may not be factory.

IMHO your car would look great with silver stripes.
