Water Leak 92 firebird :(

Hello, new member so wasn't sure where to post this? But... every time it rains out i noticed i would have a puddle of water collected on the passenger side floor pan (1992 firebird 3.1). I started by spraying the door with a hose, nothing, windsheld, nothing, then i sprayed it into the vent between the windsheild and hood.... i could c a steady line of water leaking in (i pulled the carpet back). My heat works, my dad thinks its the heater core, but it leaks when i havent even drove the car... anyone no the problem? thanks guys

Sounds like you body chalking is all dried out.Check and see if your drains are not clogged on the passenger side and see if your chalking is cracked.

Re: Water Leak 92 firebird :(

i can almost guarentee you that the leak is comming from the firewall under the blower motor. my 92 camaro had the leak and my dads old one also did. the best way to check is to remove the kick panel screws ( i wanna say there is three screws). and peel the carpet and foam stuff back u should be able to see the firewall, inspect it to see if you can see any rust holes in the fire wall. i fixed mine using fiberglass to cover the hole.
