82 TA wheel covers...

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on those black wheel covers that came on the 82 TAs? Also, once I find some, how the hell can I keep them on?? I baught this car new in 1982, and those things began to fall off right away. The dealership replaced them for a while and then I was on my own. All of them eventually were lost. There must be a way to keep them on.

Thanks,
Geary

Yah, and expect to pay a couple hundred dollars for them also. I've been trying to get a set of the wheels and hubcaps...people just want too much money for them now.

Mostly because of the cult Knight Rider following. If it weren't for that, they'd just be hard to find because everyone would throw them away.

Yea, i'm going to be throwing mine out soon as I can get a hold of Z-28 or Formula wheels to replace them.... 15" Knight rider wheels and caps are rare apparently, but finding someone to pay me for them is another story....

Sonix: Put them up on eBay They should easily bring you a few hundred bucks and if you want to get some positive karma put them on with a starting bid of 150 bucks. You WILL get more but it's at least a try to go in the right direction again .

Right now the wheels are on my car, and I need them to be able to drive, as I don't have enough $ to buy new wheels.
I have a trade deal in mind with another member, he'd give me Formula or Z-28 wheels, ship them to me and ship mine to him....

But he's taking his time, not sure if it's still going through...

So eventually, if I ever obtain some desirable wheels myself, then I'll sell these, or toss them, shipping from canada would be worth more then the wheels..... But for now, unless someone gives me replacement wheels, half *** decent ones, then i'll have to wait until I have $....

I now have 3 offers for my wheels + caps. The most recent is the sweetest, but i'm not too sure i'm being fair to all.

I'll have to take this to the sellers area, but i'm not too sure how this will be done, as I need other wheels first, before I can remove mine, and I want a trade more than anything else.... Shipping to canada = ugly..

Now to steer this topic back on track.....

Check out here for fiberglass replica caps...look on the "Vendors" tab and look under "Specialty Manufacturers/Suppliers" for Erick Llaguno for more details and to contact him

if you're going to spend 85 a piece you might as well just get the stock ones from Ebay. After taxes and shipping you will be out just as much money if not more.
