dude, everyone here hates CAPS,I'll forgive you based on your junior member status.welcome to the best thirdgen site on the web, you'll learn alot here. yes the hinges are a pain in the a$$ from what I hear. I haven't braved mine yet. I got the replacement copper bushings from the local GM dealer they had them in stock for $3.65 ,classic ind. sells whole hinges for big $$$
I just had the same problem. I tried every cheap way I could think of and just made a mess. after talking to a GM dealer three or four times I found out that there was no kit for those little bushings and pressed looking studs. I ended up buying the whole preassembled hinge. It came w/ instructions how to take off the old welded hinge with drills and a chisle. I used a grinder w/ a cutting blade. To put the new hinge on you have to be careful to get the new one in the right spot, but there is some room for adjustment. You drill four holes and there is an anchor plate on the back that is threaded. if its not in the right spot you can elongate the holes and retighten the 4 bolts. Mine seems alot better but its a stripped door no weatherstrip or interior
hope this helps
just try to have patience
