ok, confused as hell

I was told that I will need a "headlight core" for my 1985 IROC. Ok, no problem. Called the salvage yard, they ask which side. I am confused; had thought the headlight core was one piece. Asked around here, found out that yes, it is indeed 1 piece. Ok, no problem. Went to the yard today, and I only found two pieces on the Camaros that looked like what I thought a headlight core looked like. Like, a piece per side. Now, was I looking at something different or what? Can someone explicitly describe or post a pic of what a "headlight core" looks like? Thanks a bunch

There is no such thing as a "headlight core" that I know of. I am a firebird guy, but that still doesn't sound right. Who told you this, and did they try to sell you one? You are going to have to ask them to be more specific and show you the piece that is worn. It sounds to me like your being scammed. Be careful.

There is a fiberglass or plastic piece that holds all of the headlights in place, that might be what they are calling a headlight core. It's kinda odd shaped and has the four headlights plus four studds that help hold on the nose cone. Make sure that's what they are talking about and don't get scammed.

www.parts.com is where the pic came from.

neat little trick - right click on any pic or graphic online, and you can select "properties" and it will give you the url for the pic.. so you know the location.

this works with IE.. I know Netscape does it simmilarly, but it's been awhile since I used it.
