not sure if this is the right spot for the thread but i need to find which color my car is. i was told dark metallic red but that doesnt seem right from what the internet tells me dark metallic red is. its an 88 iroc if that helps at all. thanks guys! i also have a picture on my phone of the parts code sticker if anyone knows how to read that thing.

 

Flame Red i think its called. Someone has added the # on another thread some where.

 

My '87 Iroc was Dark red metallic Looks the same as yours Flame red I think was the name for the Dark red metallic version used on the firebird Trans Am bit I can check it out right now give me 4 minutes

 

Yeah just checked it, people confuse it, Flame red metallic was the name for the color used on the Firebirds and Trans Ams, On the Camaro Iroc it was named Dark Red Metallic, because the only other red color available on the Iroc was Bright red and yours isn't bright red. Mine was Dark Red metallic color, the only other color available for '88s was Medium Orange metallic which under different sunlight can get confusing to tell the difference between it and dark red metallic, look at the stickers around the car and see if you can find the paint code.

 

i downloaded the rpo decoder (totally awesome program btw) and the 74u: primary color, exterior, victory red (91) and 74q: molding color, flame red met (91). so is it victory red then?

Mine is a 89 and someone told me it was flame red, mine has some gold metallic flecks in it. What color is mine? do you know? Minus the black on top...lol

 

My # on Rpo is WA- L9535 09535 66C thats on bottom of my sticker. Will that tell you something?
