i have a latch that attaches to the core support but were do i get the parts that attach to the hood? and what do they look like? ive never had a stock hood just lift off hoods and im going with a stock bolt on. pictures would be great if possible.

Hers a latch from a TA should be about the same,then their's a spring that goes on the hood next to the latch.

i may have to call. i do have a good latch. i guess if nothing else i could just get the striker for now and worry about the rest later and hope i dont ever need the safty catch in the mean time.

Could just pick something up at a local junkyard. Some may be rusty but you should be able to find something in good condition and cheap as well.

 

i found a flat hood with everything on it 50.00 and its black like my car....its a craigslist find so hopefully everything is there.

as i suspected the hood is ok for an old car but ill probbly buy a new one. its got rust in the front edges and around the back by the cowl its alot of rust, not holes but alot of rust. the guy said it was a viginia car but it must have been in the ocean. lol main thing i got was the safty catch and spring and striker.
