I got a bit excited and hit the enter button. Sorry. My question is has anyone put in a Kenny Brown 6 point roll bar? I know they are $$$$. If anyone has put in a rollbar please let me know the drawbacks/problems, which roll bar company you prefer, and so forth. I will be taking apart my interior really soon to do the whole thing over and would like a roll bar. Thanks guys. Great Site!!!

I like it but it is so expensive.

Yeah it is a few bucks. I like Competition Engineering also but not sure on the problems I'll be facing with the installation i.e accurate fitting. Do you guys have one?

hey man if i were you i would look in the yellow pages of your local telephone book to see for steel/welding shops and go and talk to them about a custom rollcage. they can make it the way you want it.. and for a percentage of the KENNY BROWN price. and it will be made directly for your car. so you know it will fit.. and you wont have to worry about anything. and while you are there ask them about SFC. sub frame connectors. they can do a good job at that too.. glad i could help man. dont always buy prefabricated stuff.. go to local and see what they can do for you.. good luck man

I checked out the Kenny Brown rollbar from the link and noticed the side bars run along the floor area. I don't know your intentions with the car but if you plan on racing at the track and get to the point of needing a rollbar, the K.B. bar in the picture is not NHRA legal. The side bars must be at a certain point in relation to the drivers shoulder for safety reasons. Also, the only competition bars that are legal that I've seen for our cars are 8., not 6. As far as pricing goes, I've got prices of an installed 8. bar, welded in, at about $1,000 including the rollbar but that's without the swing-out sidebars(fully removeable) which is something I feel is well worth the extra cash.
