will 92 interior pieces fit in my 86 iroc?

will 92 interior pieces fit in my 86 iroc?


I bought a 92 RS for parts.will all the plastic trim and seats(front & back) fit in my 86?I think they are the same except for dash.and will the console fit?

yeah, the seats and trim pieces will all fit. only difference is the front dash a little around the steering column.

The '92 quarter panel trim in the back will have square holes cut in them for shoulder seatbelts. Swap the belts and it should work.

Another thing to keep in mind is not all the screw holes may be in the same place. The 2 factories didn't seem to be on the same page on alot of the interior srew hole peices in my experience. Alot of time I ran into holes being off an inch or two

sharon,I plan to install the belts from the 92 also,so i guess it wont be a problem?Karps,I have run into the same thing with the interior pieces,weird huh.anyway aslong as they fit I can come up with a way to mount them.thanks to all!

The reason the holes don't always seem to line up is because they use self tapping screws. They do not predrill holes is specific areas and then try to lines the panels up. The panels are put into place and the screwed down. I have found that sometimes it's easier to just put a new hole in using the self tappiing screws and a drill with a screw driver attachment.

no it wont work,I guess I will use just the rear seats and get grey lap belts,with grey hatch trim from a lap belt car.because I dont think my 86 iroc is gonna have the mount for the rear seat-belt retracter.the things that sit on the rear fenders.
