GT auto acces 4th gen wing fit on a regular non-aero spoiler hatch?

My 91 formula's original hatch was damaged and replaced with a 85 Trans Am hatch that doesnt have an aero spoiler.

So it doesnt have the female clips welded on to the trim of the hatch.

Would the fiberglass aero spoilers from GT Auto Accessories (4th gens style) fit on my current hatch?

I have a 91 GTA Spoiler on my 86 T/A.
My hatch was replaced before by the previous owner with an 84 hatch. I just put some foam weather stripping underneath the parts that would mount to the clips. The 4 bolts in the rear hold the spoiler very tight. I just put the stripping on so that it wouldn't rattle against the window.
GT Auto said the spoilers come with all mounting hardware, not sure if they supply the clips, but when bolted on, the spoiler shouldn't go anywhere.

Just put one on my car looks great there is no need for clips they send clips with it that work great. The body shop said it was the best looking fiberglass part they seen in a long time.

It will work. They do send the clips to attach the foward edges. Also, you won't be disappointed, their work is top-notch!

First hand knowledge.....Hammer

Mine with shipping was $435. The shipping was quite a bit but I checked on my own and no one would (ups, us post office, fedexground) ship the size of the box. The truck freight wanted about the same to del it to my house. The car was ready for paint and I had it in 2 days. It was worth it.

GT Auto, just to clarify, will any of the 3 different style spoilers fit a car originally equipped with the 87-90 style aero spoiler? I'll be buying one of the 3 styles in the spring when I redo my 88 GTA, and I don't want to cut it up or drill extra holes just incase I decide to go back to stock in the future. As usual, my stock spoiler is shot and I'm trying to decide between the 3 styles. I guess I'll have a chance to see pictures on people's cars between now and then.

BTW, whatcha got in store for hoods? Maybe I'll need one of those too

Hey you will have to drill new holes to fit the 91-92 and the new 4th gen style wing. the 85-90 style is a bolt on no drilling or cutting. I my self like the 4th gen style the most, but if you want to keep it factory it's up to you. I filled my holes and if I ever need to put the factory wing back on I could drill them back out. let me see if you go from the 4th gen style back to the 85-90 if it will cover the holes. I'll let you know

gt auto......... are their any plans for camaro parts??? I think a redesigned 3 piece spoiler would look nice. like make it higher. Or something comparable to the '97 rs's that I see all the time. Have a small rising spoiler (like a '88 sport coupes, or a shorter height-wise '91-'92 z/28 spoiler w/ a 3 piece wraparound on top of it. or '93-97 camaro-z/28 hoods might look neat.

I agree with SlowCamaro, a slightly altered version of the Z28 spoiler used in 91/92 would look good.
