What are the Int. and Ext. differences in an 89 and 90 Formula. I know that in 91 the Ext. changed, but what about the Int. Anyone have pictures of a 90 formula Int. I have an 89 now. But I'm going to buy a new formula soon.

I have a 90 Firebird. The only difference that I saw was the air bag, small difference in the dash meaning. There are switched (Rear defroster, Fog lamps and rear hatch release) above the A/C and the bottom part of the console has some sort of padding, I think they introduced the auto pull down on the read hatch, Rear shoulder seat belts.

 

90 was the first year for the airbag,rear shoulder belts,the dash is different-gauge cluster cover,cover under steering wheels,dash trim piece above radio/climate controls,hatch release and defroster switches....door panels,trim piece around door handle,first year for the cup holder/map pouches on the bottom front of the doors.
Exterior wise a 90 exactly the same as a 87-89.
Also the first year for the speed density(no mo mass air flow sensors) system on the TPI engines.

Also the power pull down hatch motor was first introduced on the 86 model f-bodies

my 89 RS had rear sholder belts. my 90 iroc has a diffrent dash and stering wheel with an air bag i assume that the changes were similar for the f-bird

I have an 89 firebird, which has rear shoulder seat belts.

I have read somewhere that the interior was changed slightly in 90, but I'm not sure what was different.

i also have shoulder belts for my bird... my friend used to have a 90 formula, the only things i remember to be different were the steering wheel (it had an air bag) and the cup holders mounted on the doors. and a metal ash tray in the back as oposed to a plastic one.
