I'm not sure if this is correct, but I heard that bras are actaully bad for the paint. You said you just got it painted, so if I heard right, I wouldnt get a bra. And personally, I think theyre ugly, but its your car, not mine.

DO NOT put a bra on your car. Especially if you just painted it. It is a sure fire way to destroy it. The problem with them is they hold dirt and moisture against the paint surface. As you drive the wind vibrates the bra and it scratches the paint. I bought my car with a bra on it. I plan on making a color change anyway, so it din't matter. but it scrathed and discolored the paint. Not to mention it ripped the right side of the skirt off ay the wheel well. Please heed my warning!

They mess up your paint and the only reason I'd buy one is if my front got messed up and I wanted to cover it up.

No such thing as a good bra for a car.

Besides you have a black car, why would you put a black bra on your car?

thanks for the warning guys. I'm not gonna get one now. The reason i wanted to get a bra is because when some guy painted my car (700 bucks) i don't think he used a very good paint on the plastic stuff up front. That was about 7 months ago and the paint is starting to chip off on the front bumper. That's why i wanted to get a black bra, cause i thought it would protect it and it wouldn't be noticable that much cause the car is black. I personally hate the way any bra looks on any car, but i just wanted to save my paint. I guess i got what i paid for, the paint looks really good everywhere else but the plastic parts.
I'll just keep on adding touch up paint untile i can afford a new front end with a better paint job.

The reason the paint was chipping was he did not use flex aditive. You need to use this when painting plastics, as the contract and expand in the weather.

The reason it's peeling is he used cheap paint. I spent at least $700 in paint and materials when i painted my car. Flex additive dries out within 6 months and is usually only used when assembly needs to be done after it's painted so the part can be manipulated into place. New (good) paint is quite flexible on it's own. Fast hardner will result in excessive paint chipping too.
Ohh yeah, my experience with bra's,...ditto Andy92RS

same story here...
bought my car and it had a bra on it. By far the paint was in the worst condition where the bra was. After i took it off (as soon as it got home) you could still see where it had been. But now it is all better

but if you still want one I got one you can have for pretty cheap.
