I have a 92 rs and I need to paint the front spoiler. I used to work in a body shop and i have the skills to the work. It had two cracks on each end which I plastic welded and made smooth. Now all I need is to paint it. I painted it last weekend with "spray paint" and then i cleared it. Yes, spray paint. It can look good if you know how to do it right. Anyways, does anyone know a specific spray paint that would match my BRIGHT RED car. I was thinking about buying a aresal kit from a arts&crafts store and then getting the paint from a body shop. Would that work better. PLEASE HELP!!!

anything you buy at an arts and crafts store isn't going to flow the paint from an auto body shop. On my junk car I just got a spray can of touch up paint from Walmart that was close to the cars color. According to the chart the color that actually matches the car isn't available, but thats ok cause I've never had an exact code match, actually match the paint on the car. Anyway as it turned out my first guess was right on, most people can't tell its touch up paint and no one has said anything to indicate that its a different color.

um, I painted the hood on my '88 w/ duplicolor auto and truck spray paint. matches my car. it works.<img src= "http://www.nconnect.net/~briones/camfront.jpg">
