Hatch Lock Repair

I did search but couldn't find anything quite like what I have. The bailing wire is factory right?

There is a white plastic cylinder at the end of a cable that I think the lock cylinder is supposed to turn. How would this be retained on the lock?

Any suggestions on where to start with this mess?

You'll need a new latch assy, striker-sensing switch and guides. All three are available on my web site under the "hatch pull-down items" category.

The safety wire comes dealer installed in the little cubby hole on the side panel.

Well I got it tore down, very simple. I need new guides for sure and a housing as mine is busted off. It was also surrounded by bailing wire. I cannot figure out how the harness plugs into the motor. The harness has 4 fine connections where the motor has 2 wide connections. I'm going to assume I am missing something that goes between them but what is it?

Yep, you are also missing the reversing switch.

I ordered the nylon guides from you. I'm going to try my luck at the junkyard before I order the rest of the mess since I don't have a core for the reverse switch. I tested my motor with a motorcycle battery and it ran smooth so I think that part is still good.

ITS Quit complicated i also tried it about 1month ago but i cant settle it down so i think you have to go for dealer so he will repair it by himself easily it will create problem again and again if you try to figure it out hope for the best
