Consoles, are they the same?
Will third gen Camaro and Firebird consoles interchange? Are all years the same fit,and just different styles? Thanks.

No. The camaro uses a 1 piece console that goes between the seats and up to the dash and houses the radio and heater controls. The firebird uses 2 separate pieces, and because of differences in dash board shapes, they won't interchange. The firebird style changed in 85 or 86.

If it's the cupholders you're looking for and you don't mind giving up your ashtray, there is a really good article in the tech section about adding cupholders. You can hold two cups and it looks pretty good, too.
