What part is this that's busted? (pic inside)

Hey guys,

I went over a really high speedbump, then scraped really hard. Now I feel a strange vibration coming from underneith the car. The car still drives fine and noleaks anywhere, but a weird vibration. I got under and saw this

If I am not mistaken, that is your trans crossmember that got ripped out of the frame. It also looks like rust was a big contributor to its failure. You better go see someone that knows how to weld to try and patch that up. It is strange that the rest of the underside looks relatively rust free.

MY ! Looks like the crossmember is ripped right out of the "frame"........

Now your driveshaft is lower and out of alignment with the rear end.
That explains the vibration while driving!
i would drive it as little as possible to avoid further damage.

Does the tranny crossmember mount to the uni-body or the front cradle?
I never paid attention to mine when its been up on the lift.

Thats ''jacked up'' looking at that rust that was inevitable. Man i'd have to look the whole car over, i bet theres more cancer found.

OH! dont drive it till you fix that...
