Rear hatch question

The motorized rear hatch unit completely broke off the mount now my trunk wont close right now it's being held in by the top of the mount but nothing is holding that. how do I fix it what exactly do i need i dont know the exact name of the part.thanks

The same thing happened to me last week. I called around and found one at a junk yard. Cost me $50.00 just for that stupid plastic piece of Sh..t! I know I got robbed, but it was either that or let the hatch flop up and down.

I payed a 100$ but got a new mount motor and latch

im not sure of the interchangeability but id get rid of it and put on the nonauto parts the auto lid is junk

Do you know why it's junk? Because most people slam their lids down like they were regular hatches. They're not!
You just ease it down until it clicks, and the motor closes it the rest of the way. It's not like a door or other trunks where they close "half-way" if you don't slam it hard enough.

Guess What! That plastic piece that breaks all the time you can get seperately from the dealer. The part #020160581. It costs about $26.00.
