Here is Kristian's website: http://home.c2i.net/heggestad/camaro/Camaropage.html . I've emailed him numerous times, but rarely got replies. I am planning on getting some 4th gen TA doorpanels soon so I can start experimenting. I eventually plan on transplanting an entire 4th gen TA dash, console, doorpanels, and seats, all black leather, into my 92 RS. If you have any luck talking to him, PLEASE let me know. Thanks!
I have talked to mechanics and different people, and they said that swapping the whole interior would be more trouble than it is worth. I actually could have boughten the whole entire dash from a '97 Firehawk for $450. I was actually going to pick it up and attempt to put it in my '83 TA. I heard that it would be nothing but hassels. I think it looks sweet. The only thing is that I dont think the newer dashes look as sporty as the third gen. dashes. I would just switch the door pannels and seats if I were you. I heard that the console isnt too hard to do. Good luck, and post pics if you ever get around to doing it.
I bought a 95 Z28 door panel today and test fitted it on my 90 . The size is nearly perfect . There are areas that have to be trimmed at the back of the door . But , you have to hack up the whole underside of the panels because their too thick . The newer panels mount totally different and for it to work you have to cut off all the mounting tabs and fabricate a way to mount it . After messing with this a little today , I know it can be done . Your fabricating skills better be up to snuff though
If anyone has done this please email me how it worked out . I got quoted $300 to to match the fabric of the 95 seats on my door panels , but I can get the matching 95 panels for $50 for the pair .

add one more to the people that plan to try this swap. wont have any info on this untill I get a 92 ... but I will definately take pics throughout the swap and get as much info on the net as possible. first i gotta sell my 89 and my truck!!!
still wondering about a few things though. I think im going to try it with a 99 Camaro SS dash and console cuz they were made for the LS1 / T56 ... and since I plan to do those too, it seems like the best bet. I still need to do some research and find out which year/model has the speedo with the highest mph count ... didnt one go up to 160??

This may not be a whole lot of help, but:
I did this swap between 2 generations of my first car (a German built Ford Granada - can be seen @ the website in the sig).
I swapped seats, door panels, dash, wiring harness, engine, trans, rear end etc. etc.
These two cars were similar to the thirdgen/forth gens in that they were totally different shapes.
I promise you there will be a lot of fabricating and custom work to fit everything. I also promise you that you will realize there are LOTS of additional parts you need other than the parts you "want" to swap. You are more than likely MUCH better off buying a totalled complete parts car than trying to buy bits and pieces. This goes especially if you are considering swapping the entire dash - you will almost guaranteed have to swap the wiring harness as well unless you are one heck of a wire splicer.
Here are some of the things/problems I ran into with my swap:
* Door panels - had to re-locate inside door handles and locks, find a new way to fasten the panels, trim them for a good fit.
* Dashboard - the metal "lip" that the entire dash is slipped in on(close to the windshield) and fastened to, had to be cut out of the newer car and riveted to the older car.
* Wiring Harness - fuse box on old car was located on opposit side of the newer car, so I had to custom fit the newer one and cut a bunch of new holes in the body to fit it in. This was a big job!
Those are SOME of the things I ran into. The swap took about 2 months but I didn't work on it every day though.
I know this is a different car, but I see a lot of similarities between the two.
I would suspect the biggest job with the whole swap to be fitting the dash properly and the wiring harness - whichever way you choose to do it. If that isn't a big problem, it should be a doable task for any creative person.
The thought have crossed my mind of doing this myself sometime in the future as I love that kind of work.
Sorry for the long post,

Ken

OK , I bought a 95 door panel . While the size is "nearly" right it has to be trimmed .While the size is sooooo damn close you have to totally fabricate a way to mount it . We use push in clips , the 95 uses hooks . Thickness wise though is another story . Up towards the front of the panel its way to thick to shut the door , it smashes into the dash . While just by looking at it , it "looks" easy to do but thats not at all the case . Big time fabricating all over . I'm not gonna do it cuz I have niether the time or patience .
Good luck to anyone else who tries , it will be interesting to see what yall come up with.
