Replacing Floor Pan

I'm just about ready to cut out and replace my driver side floor pan in my '84 T/A which has a a couple of decent size rust holes in it.

I was thinking about just buying one of the replacement sheet metal floor pans they sell at Hawks, Classic Industries, YearOne, etc. Does anyone have any recommendations on the quality of those pans? I'm assuming they are all the same pan manufactured from one source, but distributed by different vendors.

Thanks!

They are all going to be about the same quality. If it were me, I would pick the vendor with the best/easiest return policy in the event you get a piece of crap that doesn't remotely fit. Unlikely, but it does happen sometimes. This assumes their prices are all close to the same.

In the end, you will have to work with any piece of metal to some extent to get it to fit right. The important part is the welds and making sure you seal it properly.

Re: Replacing Floor Pan

To the best of my knowledge...all the replacement pans for these cars come from the same place. I've used Sherman brand on a few cars. They fit decent and the thickness is ok. Don't expect them to just drop in without a little bit of work though. Best part is, I get them through NAPA. They come in in a day or two and there aren't any giant shipping charges. Last set I bought were the same price that Classic or YearOne wanted.
