Has anyone ever made up a rear seat to convert a stock z28 into an 3 people rear seat, i am refering to trying to get my 3 kids in the back,,we are a 5 people family ,,love the car ,,,

 

Three kids? I cant fit my two kids in the back of mine. Write back if you find an answer cause I could sure use it.

Maybe you could strap a childs car seat down to the t-top hooks in the rear hatch area?

Actually the only constructive idea I can think of is to create a thin pad to cover the center hump, and then add an extra set of seatbelts for the center (using the inner seat belt bolts on each side). This would probably be the best place for a car seat and not a larger child. Our cars just aren't designed for 3 in the back. Good luck.

i'm currently taking out my two bottom back seats and making a speaker box into a bench type back seat into my convertible so you couldn't even tell i have the subs there, just gonna turn the box into a seat.

 

hes almost there. well, anyways. what you would have to do, is move the seats upward. theres a bolt on the top of the seat, (backing) on the bottom, youd have to remove the mount, move it upward a bit.
then. we gotta find a donor car with a solid seat strait acroos. and mount it.

I remember seeing a tech article or something like that to convert the rear seat to a bench seat, sorry I can't remember where I saw it but maybe somebody knows what I'm talking about here.

 

if oyu could fit a Lumina rear bench seat in there is is spacious enought for 3 kids untill they are about 10. Then going on long trips will be a pain, believe me, I know what i am talkn' about becuase 6 years ago I was 10 and taking 12 hour trips to NC.

 

try to find a 98 blazer donor car or something of the like. ours fits 3 in the back, and if im not mistaken there is a bump there too. juust something to look into..
