New Window Switch Prices

I might need a new window switch for my '89 Formula. My Passanger Side window has been going down but not back up that good. It will go up just a little at a time.

Today I swapped switches and it seemed to make the window act normal, but I could get it to go down with the "bad switch" sometimes too.

Tomarrow I'm going to swap both switches and use them like that for about a week to see what happens.

If I need a new switch where do you all recommend on getting it? Year one has them for $13.95 each is that good or bad? I need some kind of reference for prices.

I'm only interested in new switches.

They cost about the same at a dealership - I just bought one a couple of weeks ago.

I think I paid about $17 for each at a dealer. They may look different then the orignals but they will fit into the console. Also, if you can get them really cheap (maybe used) get an extra set.

man, they are that much? I got two power doorlock switches and one window switch from my dealer for about 12 bucks total. That was for a 95 ta though, so maybe they just run different prices.

I just ordered some from thirdgenparts.com for about $13 each. Thought it would be good to use someone who advertizes on this site ... see the banner above.

WTF? Direct, no shipping, cheaper. I think I'd rather get from my dealer.

Our Trans Am Club is sponsered by the dealer, so we get parts at wholesale. The window switches for us is about $7.00. Door lock switches are $3.50, I replaced mine last year since the words were faded.

Oh, and I am using the 4th Gen Power Window/Doow/Mirror control panel from a 96 Camaro. Window and doors wire up fine, it's just the power mirror controls that I can 't get to function correctly.

Zepher, how many people are in that club? How did it start? I was thinking of trying to get a local fbody club up around here.
