Changing Headlights on Firebird

For those of you with Firebirds, do you manually crank the headlight up in order to change the light? I thought of just turning them on, but then I don't wanna be looking into the light when I plug it in.

I just turned mine on and changed them.

Dont look directly into the light as you do it! Just in case you didnt know.
