Looks good. Keep it washed, waxed, and covered. My first grey 89 'vert faded badly prior to my purchase.

Re: My 1986 Iroc Z build
A lot of reasons.
The old paint was peeling and there was some pretty bad rust but if your asking why I didn't get it repainted blue was because it was just a little too light for me and when I saw Twin_turbo's Iroc I was set on that color and i'm going for a more stealth look.

Re: My 1986 Iroc Z build
Hi there,
The car is coming along beautifully. Personally, I love blue, but that grey really came out nice.
Id' like to offer a suggestion; the car looks very stock, so I would put the lower stripes back on, along with the IROC decals you bought. To me, I always thought the stripes gave the IROC a finishing touch that the later Z28s lacked. The Z28s look too much like they were dipped in paint and never finished. Sorry, Z28 guys and gals, but that's how I see it.
It should look fantastic buffed out; heck, it looks great now!

Love the gunmetal gray, nice job so far.You should put the Iroc door decals on but leave the lower body stripes off. I think that the gunmetal gray color looks cleaner without them, but to each his own. By the way, I am 15 and I am rebuilding my first car too. It is a 1985 Iroc and I am painting it gunmetal also. Also, why did you paint the Iroc rims black? I thought they looked good the way they came out of the factory.
Re: My 1986 Iroc Z build
I just purchased a 1982 z28 Camaro that I plan on doing a full stock restoration on, can anybody tell me were I can find detailed pictures of the factory engine compartment for the 5.0 carborated engine so I can make sure that I have all electrical harnesses and vacume lines running in their stock positions, the previous owner did a huge cob job, and I want it to be back to factory, thanks !!!!!

The previous owner did a huge hack job , and I want to get it all back to factory look with all the electrical harnesses and vacume lines back to were they once were, I would appreciate it, thanks
