I have been wanting to put a GTA style wing on the back of my Camaro. I have just learned that the stock wing on a 92 TA appears to be made of rubber where as I always thought it was fiberglass. I found one in a salvage yard for $125.00 for the wing, glass and struts. The question I have is how solid it the wing supposed to be? I noticed that I can press my finger nail into it with a moderate pressure and am wondering if this is a sign of deterioration or is it normal? I need to jump on it soon cause someone else is here is also looking for the same thing. I just don't want to buy something that isn't worth it. Thanks in advance!!!

 

The 92 IS fibrglass, kinda flattened out, and has a notch missing from the center of the back, very stylish. Sounds like you're got the 87 or so through 90 wing, which is rubber, and kinda your call. Seems normal that it would press in easily though. Get ready for nightmares on paint cracking and stuff though.
